''I think there must be a place in the soul all made of tunes, of tunes of long ago,'' Charles Ives wrote in ''The Things Our Fathers Loved.'' He set that poem to music as the 43rd entry in ''114 Songs,'' the collection he published in 1922, which was performed in a four-hour marathon on Saturday by the young, ambitious Brooklyn Art Song Society at...

I fritiden komponerede han og arbejdede som organist i Danbury, New Haven, Connecticut, Bloomfield, New Jersey og New York, New York.
Fold ud
