Monaco er et fyrstedømme beliggende på nordkysten af Middelhavet. Landets officielle navn er Principauté de Monaco. Fyrstedømmet er geografisk omgivet af Frankrig, beliggende ud til Middelhavet, få kilometer fra Italien. Landet har konstitutionelt monarki. Monaco er verdens næstmindste land, og har verdens største befolkningstæthed for et land. Monaco er især kendt for sit kasino, Casino de Monte Carlo, og for sin skattefrihed.
Der køres hvert år Formel 1-løb i Monaco. Når grandprixet afholdes i Monaco, afvikles det på de almindelige veje, som bliver brugt til dagligt af folk i Monaco.
En indbygger i Monaco kaldes en monegasker.
