Montserrat er en frodig, bjergrig ø i det Caribiske Hav. Øen er 102 km² og har 4.488 indbyggere. Den er en del af Leeward Øerne og en del af økæden kaldet De små antiller. Montserrat blev navngivet af Christopher Columbus på hans anden rejse til den nye verden i 1493, efter Monserratbjerget som ligger i Catalonien.
Montserrat er et britisk oversøisk territorium. Øens hovedstad Plymouth blev ødelagt og to tredjedele af befolkningen flygtede grundet Soufriere Hills vulkanens udbrud der begyndte 18. juli, 1995.
